Hotel Indigo Coventry opened its doors on 24 January after the completion of a multi-million-pound project which took just 19 months from start to completion. The stunning, boutique new-build property reflects the unique ethos of Hotel Indigo, part of the IHG Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio, by creating an immersive hospitality experience that draws on the history, rhythm, and pulse of Coventry’s vibrant city, for both leisure and business guests. The hotel features ‘Cogs Restaurant & Bar’ which celebrates the amazing growers’ and producers in Warwickshire and the British Isles. Nicholson’s Pubs Collections is proud to announce a significant investment in the extensive refurbishment of its iconic establishment, Doggett’s Coat and Badge on Blackfriar’s Bridge, London. The new venue is set to open its doors to the public on the 15th of February 2024. The investment in the pub has been directed towards enhancing various aspects of its facilities, specifically, the focus has been on upgrading the bars, meeting spaces, and private hire areas within the pub. Additionally, improvements have been made to the extensive outside drinking and dining areas, creating a more appealing and comfortable environment for guests to enjoy unrivalled views of the Thames. The unusual name pays tribute to Thomas Doggett, the organiser of the London Bridge to Chelsea rowing race along the Thames, which is said to be the oldest continuous sporting event in the UK. First held in 1715, the race takes place in July each year and runs over four miles and seven furlongs. The iconic Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah reopens its doors revealing a stunning transformation. The newest chapter of the renowned luxury hotel has begun, as the resort welcomes guests to live unforgettable once again. After an extensive refurbishment, the resort has unveiled 203 keys in total including 149 beautifully appointed guest rooms and 54 suites with breathtaking views. Also refurbished during the transformation were nine restaurants and lounges, extensive outdoor space for private events and weddings, and the resort’s golden masterpiece, the six-meter clock in the heart of the lobby. Reflecting the rich history of grand clocks at Waldorf Astoria properties around the world, it features a domed glass dial with a striking aquamarine center. Paying homage to its Arabic roots, the clock features rotating prayer rings for precise prayer times, and bears an inscription from ancient Bedouin songs. One of the most notable changes to the resort is the new look of the guestrooms and suites. Bagatelle Group, the French hospitality brand of luxury restaurants and beach clubs, has announced the opening of two new restaurants on the coast of St. Barth’s which opened on the 16 November, alongside its Courchevel branch, opened on the 9 December. Bagatelle Group has established itself in the most exclusive places around the world, with the group now owning 15 venues across the globe. The new sites will deliver unique experiences with exceptional food, extensive drinks and Bagatelle’s trademark vibrant atmosphere. Bagatelle Group’s ITA restaurant in St. Barth’s, which opened 16 November, is a new culinary experience blending authentic and traditional dishes, from Mexico to Peru. Originally launched in Mykonos in July 2023, the ITA concept has now launched within the Plaza, offering an intimate rooftop setting overlooking the port of Gustavia and its famous marina. The new Cotswolds pub group, Lionhearth Group, opened its doors of The Black Horse in Salford for the first time on Wednesday 20th September. The new venue, just outside of Chipping Norton, has undergone extensive refurbishment to reinstate this precious asset at the heart of the community. The kitchen will serve all day lunches, pub classics and a relaxed dinner menu set around the grill and rotisserie – sourced within 20 miles where possible. The Salford Cottage, a stylish bedroom suite, will host overnight guests in this enviable village location. Relocating from within the city centre, MOJO has launched on Liverpool ONE’s Hanover Street, marking a significant upsize from its previous Back Berry Street home.
